Gameplay

Alpha Denshi’s Exciting Soccer II, released in 1985, delivers fast-paced two-player soccer action. Players control their teams using an eight-way joystick and a single button to kick the ball towards the opposing goal. The game builds upon its predecessor with minor updates including a new team representing Japan replacing Austria, alongside a revised soundtrack. Gameplay focuses on strategic positioning and precise passing as you maneuver your players across the field. With two Zilog Z80 processors and an ALPHA-8301 CPU working in tandem, along with sound capabilities from General Instrument AY8910 chips, Exciting Soccer II provides a responsive experience for head-to-head competition. While development began earlier, the release of this sequel continued the series' legacy as a straightforward sports title designed for quick matches and competitive play between two players.
