Dynablaster / Bomber Man
Irem (licensed from Hudson Soft) • 1991
Also known as: Atomic Punk, Bomber Man

Dynablaster is a maze-based action game released in Europe in 1991 by Irem, licensed from Hudson Soft. Up to four players can simultaneously navigate enclosed environments, strategically placing bombs to clear obstacles and defeat enemy robots. The gameplay centers around careful planning and quick reflexes as you maneuver through the levels while avoiding hazards and anticipating opponents' movements. Players must collect power-ups to increase bomb range and destructive capabilities, allowing them to overcome progressively challenging layouts and more numerous adversaries. This title is part of a larger series that began with the original Japanese release of Bomber Man and subsequently expanded across various platforms over the following years, including home consoles and computer systems. Following its arcade debut, Dynablaster was ported to multiple systems throughout the early to mid-1990s, demonstrating its appeal beyond dedicated arcade cabinets. A NES version followed in 1992, as did a sequel titled New Dynablaster - Global Quest.
