Domino Man (set 1)
Bally Midway • 1982

In Domino Man, players control a mustachioed artist tasked with constructing elaborate domino chains across the screen. Using an 8-way joystick, you navigate Domino Man to designated spots and place oversized dominoes, creating progressively longer sequences. Once all spots are covered, players can choose to topple the chain for points or advance to the next level, aiming to build multiple chains simultaneously for a significant bonus. The gameplay isn't without its challenges; a neighborhood bully frequently wanders onto the screen attempting to disrupt your efforts, while a killer bee poses an immediate threat. Other obstacles include a bag lady and a boy with a shopping cart who can inadvertently knock over dominoes. Players can interact with these characters, either by strategically knocking them away or momentarily disabling the bully with a well-placed domino. Upon completing a game, players are treated to a short poem evaluating their performance. Domino Man features a distinctive cabinet adorned with plastic dominoes and was designed by Marvin Glass, drawing inspiration from a recognizable employee known for his signature style.
