Gameplay

Mr. Do's Castle blends platforming action with puzzle elements in this frantic two-player arcade game. Players control Mr. Do as he navigates a multi-level castle filled with pursuing unicorns and tricky obstacles. The core gameplay involves using ladders – some fixed, others movable – to traverse the environment and strategically knocking out blocks with a mallet to create pathways or drop enemies below. Unicorns relentlessly chase Mr. Do, but the mallet serves a dual purpose: it can temporarily stun them and, more importantly, is used to remove floor blocks. Completing a level involves either eliminating all unicorns or clearing all cherry-marked blocks (in later versions), requiring players to think carefully about block placement and enemy movement. Collecting keys opens doorways leading to shields that transform the unicorns into fleeing “Alphamonsters,” which can then be defeated for bonus points and letters towards an extra life. The game’s unique mechanics, including the ability to push ladders and create cascading block collapses, offer exciting opportunities for both skillful escapes and strategic enemy elimination. With its bright visuals and challenging gameplay, Mr. Do's Castle provides a compelling cooperative experience for two players looking for a quirky and engaging arcade adventure.
