Dirt Dash (World, DT2 Ver.C)
Namco • 1995

Compete for victory in Dirt Dash, a first-person driving game released by Namco in 1995. Players take on the role of a racer participating in the Forest Valley Challenge, a demanding course divided into five distinct sections – City, Hill, Jungle, Mountain, and Snow – each presenting progressively greater difficulty. Choose from three vehicles—the Desert Arrow for beginners, the Blue Dragon for intermediate drivers, and the Red Lightning for expert racers—and prepare to battle against six rival opponents throughout the race. The gameplay puts you directly behind the wheel as you navigate challenging terrain and attempt to secure first place in each section. Dirt Dash utilizes Namco's Super System 22 hardware, providing a detailed visual experience of the varying environments. Players can also engage in time trial mode by utilizing a specific button combination, or access car setting adjustments for fine-tuning performance on the track. A unique quirk of the game’s later exposure is that a Dirt Dash arcade cabinet appears in the Nickelodeon television show Big Time Rush, though its marquee has been altered to avoid potential copyright issues with Namco.
