Gameplay

Demon is a two-player shooter from Rock-Ola released in 1982 that presents gameplay from an overhead perspective. Players control spacecraft tasked with collecting crystals and safely delivering them to a shuttle while navigating a field of enemy ships. The game utilizes vector graphics, which may result in a characteristic screen flicker – a normal feature of the hardware. Gameplay emphasizes strategic crystal collection and precise maneuvering to avoid hazards and alien threats. Points are awarded for successfully depositing crystals into the shuttle, destroying larger aliens with tails, and surviving each passing second. Players must also manage their shot power by collecting crystals to recharge weapons systems. Designed by Joe Ulowetz, Demon offers a challenging cooperative experience as players work together to achieve high scores in this retro arcade title.
