Gameplay

Piloting advanced tanks that move like sleek sleds across the terrain, players in Cyber Commando take on enemies in this 1994 shooter from Namco. Designed for two players, the game features a third-person perspective as you navigate and destroy opposing forces. The gameplay centers around maneuvering your tank to locate and eliminate threats presented within the futuristic environment. Cyber Commando utilizes Namco’s System 22 hardware, originally released in Japan during October of 1994. Two cabinet styles were produced: one with a 29-inch monitor integrated into the seating and controls, and another featuring a larger 50-inch monitor paired with a separate seating area. Players control their tanks using a joystick and three buttons to engage in fast-paced action. This title builds upon Namco's earlier Cyber Sled game, continuing the series’ focus on futuristic tank combat. Programmed by N. Aoshima and K. Watanabe, and featuring music composed by Shinji Hosoe, Cyber Commando delivers an engaging experience for fans of third-person shooters.
