Cross Pang
F2 System • 1998

Cross Pang is a cooperative puzzle game released in 1998 by F2 System for two players. Using four-way joysticks and two buttons each, players must strategically manipulate colored blocks across the screen to clear them from the playfield. The gameplay involves bouncing projectiles off walls and other surfaces, requiring careful coordination between both players to solve increasingly complex spatial challenges. The game presents a unique visual style and a steadily increasing difficulty as levels progress. It is the first entry in a series of puzzle games, followed by New Cross Pang the subsequent year. A Motorola 68000 processor drives the action while sound effects are delivered through a Zilog Z80 and additional chips to create an engaging audio experience.
