Pro Tennis (DECO Cassette) (US)

Serve up some classic competition with Pro Tennis, released in 1982 by Data East Corporation. This two-player sports game challenges you and a friend to a match on the court, utilizing the DECO Cassette system hardware. Players control their tennis player using the joystick to move across the screen and buttons to execute forehands, backhands, and serves, attempting to return the ball past your opponent’s racket. The gameplay is straightforward, focused on timing and accuracy as you volley and smash your way through increasingly challenging matches. As one of twenty-two games released for the DECO Cassette system, Pro Tennis offered a simple but engaging tennis experience for arcade goers in the early 1980s. This title represents an interesting piece of arcade history, marking its place as the twenty-second video game published on the DECO Cassette platform.
