CPS3 Multi-game bootleg for HD6417095 type SH2 (V4)

This multi-game compilation arrived in arcades around 1999 from an unknown manufacturer identified only as a bootleg release. Designated “CPS3 Multi-game” and bearing the mark of Darksoft, this cabinet features several games playable by up to two players simultaneously. It utilizes a CPS-III system board intended for Capcom hardware, but was modified for use with an HD6417095 type SH2 (V4) component. The experience offered within varies depending on the specific game selection. Players can expect action-oriented gameplay suited for cooperative or competitive play against another person. As a bootleg title, its origins and exact contents are somewhat obscure compared to officially licensed releases of the era. Ultimately, “CPS3 Multi-game” represents an example of unauthorized arcade hardware modification and distribution from the late 1990s, providing a collection of games on a single platform for two players.
