Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory (DECO Cassette) (US) (set 1)
Data East Corporation • 1984

Following up on the success of Burger Time, Data East’s Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory puts players in control of chef Peter Pepper as he builds ice cream cones across a series of levels. Instead of assembling burgers, your goal is to fill waiting cones with scoops of ice cream, maneuvering them into place by pushing, throwing, or tossing them upwards to reach higher platforms. This 1984 title introduces new gameplay elements compared to its predecessor, allowing players to use the scattered ice cream as a weapon against enemies encountered along the way. The game features cooperative two-player action, inviting you and a friend to work together to complete each stage. Peter Pepper can now jump, adding another layer of navigation to the platforming challenges. Running on Data East's DECO Cassette System hardware, Peter Pepper’s Ice Cream Factory presents a colorful twist on the run-and-jump formula, offering a lighthearted and engaging arcade experience. While it did not achieve the same widespread recognition as Burger Time, this title remains an interesting entry in the series and demonstrates a playful evolution of its gameplay mechanics.
