Cosmic Cop (World)

Pilots take to the skies in Cosmic Cop, a two-player horizontal scrolling shooter from Irem released in 1991. As futuristic law enforcement officers, players maneuver their spacecraft through increasingly challenging levels filled with enemy drones, automated defenses, and other airborne threats. The game demands precision and coordination as you work together to clear the skies of hostile forces. Cosmic Cop is known in Japan under the title Armed Police Unit Gallop, a connection to an earlier Irem release. It allows for cooperative gameplay, letting two players simultaneously battle their way through the action. A PC and Macintosh version was later included as part of the “Irem Arcade Hits” compilation released in 2011, bringing this experience to home computers.
