Cookie & Bibi 2 is a two-player puzzle game released by SemiCom in 1996. Players take turns strategically launching colored bubbles upward to match and clear them from the screen. The goal is to eliminate all of the bubbles before they reach the bottom, requiring careful aiming and planning to create chains or clusters of matching colors. This arcade title builds upon the gameplay established in its predecessor, Cookie & Bibi, offering a familiar yet engaging experience for fans of the bubble-popping genre. The game utilizes a horizontal screen resolution of 256x224 pixels and employs a palette of 256 colors to display the vibrant bubbles. Players control their shots with an eight-way joystick and three buttons, allowing for precise adjustments before launching each bubble. The system runs on a Motorola 68000 processor and features sound driven by a Zilog Z80 alongside Yamaha YM2151 and OKI6295 chips. Cookie & Bibi 2 is the second installment in a series of three puzzle games, following Cookie & Bibi (1995) and preceding Cookie & Bibi 3 (1997). The game’s development team included designer Han Seung Hoon and programmer Mm Hyun Ho, among others, contributing to its overall design and functionality.
