Gameplay

Candy Puzzle, released in 1995 by CD Express, is a cooperative puzzle game for up to three players. Players work together to clear the screen by strategically launching candies at clusters of matching colors. Similar to games like Bubble Bobble, skillful aiming and planning are necessary to prevent the candy formations from reaching the bottom of the playfield. The game runs on CD Express’s proprietary Cubo CD32 hardware, an Amiga-based system originally released in Italy. Utilizing AGA graphics and a Motorola processor, Candy Puzzle offers a vibrant visual experience alongside its simple yet engaging gameplay loop. Players use a gamepad to control their candy launcher and coordinate efforts for maximum effect. Featuring game saves on FlashROM memory, Candy Puzzle provides a persistent challenge as players strive to clear increasingly complex patterns. Its exclusive release in Italy makes it a unique find within the arcade landscape.
