Mahjong CLUB 90's (set 1) (Japan 900919)

Nichibutsu’s Mahjong CLUB 90's brings a unique nightlife theme to the classic tabletop game. Released in Japan in 1990, this two-player arcade title combines traditional mahjong gameplay with elements of a nightclub setting. Two players face off across a dedicated keyboard, strategically matching tiles to form winning combinations while navigating the challenges inherent in mahjong rules. A distinctive feature of Mahjong CLUB 90’s is its incorporation of an alcohol vending machine mechanic; players can interact with this element during gameplay. Built around a Zilog Z80 processor and utilizing both a YM3812 sound chip and a DAC, the game presents a visual resolution of 512x240 pixels across a palette of 256 colors. The game's combination of familiar tabletop strategy with an unexpected theme provides a distinctive arcade experience for two players seeking a different kind of challenge.
