Gameplay

Cluster Buster is a two-player ball and paddle game released in the United States by Data East Corporation in 1983. Players control paddles at the bottom of the screen to deflect a ball upward, aiming to break apart formations of blocks clustered at the top. The gameplay echoes classic Breakout titles, but with a slightly different visual style delivered through the DECO Cassette System hardware. This game represents the twenty-eighth title published on the DECO Cassette System and was released in November of that year. Though known as "Graplop" in North America, it retains the name Cluster Buster elsewhere. The cartridge, identified as Model DT-128, provides a unique experience within the limited capabilities of the DECO system. Two players can compete simultaneously, adding a layer of challenge and interaction to clearing the block formations.
