Boulder Dash (DECO Cassette) (US)
Data East Corporation • 1985

Rockford must frantically dig through mystical caverns in this maze-like game for two players. The objective is to collect diamonds and other treasures while navigating a collapsing environment where boulders constantly tumble from above. Sixteen caves present escalating challenges across five levels of difficulty as Rockford works against the clock to achieve his goals. Originally created for the Atari 800 home computer, this version runs on Data East’s DECO Cassette System hardware and offers a unique arcade experience inspired by the original design of Peter Liepa and Chris Gray. Players will need careful planning and quick reflexes to avoid being crushed as they clear pathways through each level. This release marks the forty-fourth game published for the DECO Cassette System, offering a familiar challenge for fans of the home computer version while presenting it in an arcade format.
