Canvas Croquis — Gameplay
Gameplay

In Canvas Croquis, released in 1985 by SNK, players take on the role of a painter attempting to complete artistic depictions within a maze environment. The gameplay revolves around navigating this maze while simultaneously battling persistent adversaries that impede progress. Successfully clearing each maze of these enemies allows the painter to advance and begin work on the next canvas. This puzzle reconstruction game is designed for two players, who must cooperate or compete as they maneuver through the increasingly challenging levels. Each successful completion brings the player closer to completing their artistic vision, but requires skillful navigation and careful avoidance of obstacles within a limited space. Canvas Croquis utilizes Zilog Z80 processors and General Instrument AY8910 sound chips for its gameplay and audio experience. The controls consist of an eight-way joystick and two buttons, allowing players to precisely direct their painter through the maze.
