Bucky O'Hare (ver EAB)
Konami • 1992

Join the fight for the 'Aniverse' in Konami’s 1992 action game, Bucky O'Hare. Based on the animated series, up to four players take control of Bucky and his crew – Blinky, Dead-Eye Duck, and Jenny – as they battle the Toad Empire's forces attempting to conquer their home worlds. Gameplay involves navigating side-scrolling stages with occasional shifts in perspective, shooting enemies and searching for power-ups to enhance your abilities. Players can also release imprisoned citizens from locked cells along the way. Each character has a distinct visual design but shares identical gameplay mechanics. Progressing through the eight unique levels—ranging from Planet Warren to Planet Life Force—requires defeating challenging bosses at the end of each stage, culminating in a showdown with the malevolent computer program, KOMPLEX. Smart bombs offer a powerful offensive tool for clearing out large groups of enemies as you strive to liberate the 'Aniverse.' Bucky O'Hare features a memorable soundtrack and was developed by a team that would later form the acclaimed studio Treasure. A "Winners Don’t Use Drugs" screen appears during gameplay in the U.S. version, and acquiring extra lives differs from the international release.
