Burger Time (Data East set 1)

Burger Time is a frantic platform game for two players where you control a chef tasked with assembling complete hamburgers by maneuvering ingredients – patties, lettuce, tomatoes, and buns – across precarious platforms. Players must carefully navigate each screen while avoiding mischievous food-themed creatures like Mr. Hot Dog and Mr. Egg, who patrol the area and attempt to thwart your progress. Pepper can be used as a temporary defense against these enemies, but supplies are limited. Successfully completing a burger advances you to the next stage, repeating the process through increasingly challenging layouts filled with more adversaries. The game initially debuted in Japan under the title "Hamburger" before being released internationally as Burger Time.
