Gameplay

Step up to the plate with Baseball Stars 2, SNK’s 1992 arcade sequel that builds upon the foundation of its predecessor. This two-player sports game lets you manage your own baseball league, creating custom competitions featuring up to 125 games and tracking detailed statistics for each team and player. Choose from a diverse roster of eighteen teams split across the Exciting and Fighting Leagues—each with unique names and visual flair inspired by global cities and cultures. Gameplay focuses on strategic pitching, hitting, fielding, and base running. Players control their actions using a four-button setup allowing for swings, steals, bunts, and timed outs during at-bats; while fielding involves pitching, catching, and defensive maneuvers. A unique system allows players to develop and upgrade their teams by improving player stats—a feature carried over from the original Baseball Stars. Beyond standard gameplay, a quirky trick lets daring players disrupt opponents by deliberately getting hit by a pitch and triggering an unexpected interaction with the pitcher, potentially weakening them for future at-bats. Experience classic arcade baseball action brought to life on SNK's Neo-Geo MVS hardware.
