Gameplay

Visco’s Breakers, released in arcades in 1996, is a two-player versus fighting game built for fast-paced action and combo chains. Players select from eight distinct characters to battle one another, culminating in a confrontation with a powerful end boss. The gameplay revolves around utilizing four attack buttons per player – punch, kick, hard punch, and hard kick – to execute strikes and string together fluid combinations against an opponent. Running on SNK's Neo-Geo MVS hardware, Breakers delivers a responsive experience designed for competitive play. The game’s development began several years prior as a prototype titled "Tenrin no Syo Chicago," showcasing Visco’s evolution in the fighting game genre. This title would later be followed by a sequel, Breaker's Revenge, further expanding upon its core mechanics and character roster. The soundtrack features music composed by Kenichi Kamio, complemented by sound effects produced by Light Link Music. Voice acting was provided by a team including GUY YOUKI and Kimito Daimon, adding another layer to the characters’ personalities during intense clashes.
