Big Twin
Playmark • 1995

Big Twin is a two-player puzzle game released in 1995 by Playmark. Colored spheres continuously descend into the playfield, challenging players to quickly clear them by aligning three or more of the same color vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Once a sphere reaches the bottom, it can be repositioned across the screen if space allows, adding a layer of strategic planning to the gameplay. The game features an unusual element: as spheres are cleared, a gradually revealed image appears. This revealing nature classifies Big Twin as a mature title. Players must carefully manage the falling spheres and their placements to prevent them from reaching the top of the playfield, which ends the game. Big Twin utilizes a Motorola 68000 processor for its gameplay and an OKI6295 chip for sound effects. The screen resolution is 320x240 pixels with a refresh rate of approximately 58 Hz, controlled by an eight-way joystick and single button per player.
