Gameplay

In Ben Bero Beh, players take on the role of a small superhero navigating a burning apartment complex in this cooperative platform and shooter game from Taito. Using a fire extinguisher as your primary weapon, you must descend through multiple levels filled with hazards like collapsing floors, exploding gas lines, and unexpected enemies that emerge from doorways. The objective is to extinguish the flames and rescue Ben’s girlfriend while avoiding destruction. Gameplay involves precise movement and strategic use of the fire extinguisher; quickly suppressing fires prevents them from re-igniting on lower levels and creating further complications. Two players can simultaneously work together to tackle the challenges, coordinating their efforts to clear a path through the fiery environment. A hidden Easter egg exists within the game: by performing a specific button combination on the Game Over screen, players can view a company logo from Taito's Kumagaya TSC facility. Ben Bero Beh originally debuted in Japan in November of 1984.
