Take to the skies in Battle Chopper, a fast-paced shooter released by Irem in 1987. Players control a helicopter battling through waves of enemies and obstacles across vibrant landscapes. Designed for cooperative play with two players simultaneously, Battle Chopper challenges you to coordinate your attacks while dodging projectiles and navigating tricky terrain. The game’s action is presented as a side-scrolling experience where the helicopter must destroy enemy formations while rescuing survivors stranded in various locations. Originally released outside of Japan under this title, it shares its origins with the Japanese game Mr. Heli no Daibouken. Though initially available in arcades, Battle Chopper has also seen ports to several home computer platforms including Commodore 64, Atari ST, and Amiga. Later compilations have brought Battle Chopper, under different titles, to PC and Macintosh systems as part of collections showcasing Irem's arcade catalog.
