Gameplay

Take control of spacemen Takky and Hommy in Bakutotsu Kijuutei, a fast-paced sequel to Namco’s earlier shooter, BaRaDuKe. As pilots in bio-suits, players navigate horizontal stages battling strange enemies while rescuing the one-eyed Paccets. Collect yellow Paccets for bonus points at the end of each stage, but avoid shooting them – doing so results in a point penalty! The game introduces new enemy types and capsule power-ups including speed boosts and improved firepower, alongside challenging boss encounters that unlock additional stages upon defeat. Unlike its predecessor, movement is strictly forward and death sends players back to the beginning of the level for a stern lecture from Paccet Ojisan. Bakutotsu Kijuutei was released in Japan in August 1988 and runs on Namco System 1 hardware, featuring a vibrant 24-bit color palette and dynamic soundtrack composed by Norio Nakagata and Takane Okubo. The game supports two players simultaneously.
