Gameplay

Take to the skies in Sega’s Air Rescue, a cooperative helicopter simulation released in 1992. As one of two players, you pilot a rescue helicopter through detailed environments on a mission to locate and retrieve individuals in need. Using a joystick for control, players navigate the landscape while reacting to unfolding situations, aiming to safely extract those who require assistance. Air Rescue utilizes Sega’s System 32 hardware platform and offers a first-person perspective as you fly. The game's cabinet measures approximately five feet wide, six feet deep, and over five feet tall, providing an immersive experience for up to two players working together. Originally launched in Japan during February of 1992, it was also adapted for the Sega Master System console later that same year. The gameplay centers around skillful piloting and coordination between players as they respond to rescue calls and overcome obstacles within the simulated environment.
