Gameplay

Navigate through battle after battle in Altair, a single-player shooter released by Cidelsa in 1981. Players use an eight-way joystick to control their ship and defend against waves of alien creatures emerging from a menacing Monster Ship. The gameplay follows a familiar formula reminiscent of Space Invaders, tasking the player with eliminating all enemies encountered across each stage. Altair’s technical specifications include a CDP1802 processor running at 3.579 MHz alongside a CDP1869 sound chip for audio effects. This title represents one entry in the Altair series, with a sequel, Altair II, released sometime later. Notably, Cidelsa games were exclusively distributed within Spain. Players utilize two buttons to manage their ship's actions as they progress through increasingly challenging encounters and strive to destroy the Monster Ship and its alien hordes.
