Gaelco • 1994
Also known as: Lizard Hunt

In Alligator Hunt, two players take on the role of skateboarding soldiers tasked with repelling an alien invasion threatening Earth. These reptilian invaders have launched an attack, and it’s up to the duo to fight their way through enemy forces and ultimately destroy the aliens' base. The game features a third-person perspective and fast-paced shooting action reminiscent of titles like Cabal and Blood Bros. Players control their characters using eight-way joysticks and utilize three buttons: one for standard shots, another for looping attacks, and a final button to launch missiles. Cooperative gameplay is central as the players navigate challenging environments while battling waves of alien creatures. The graphics are detailed and contribute to an immersive experience as you progress through the game's scenario. Developed by Gaelco in 1994 and running on their GAE1 hardware, Alligator Hunt provides a unique blend of arcade shooter mechanics with a quirky premise. Though it was briefly known as Lizard Hunt, this two-player cooperative experience delivers straightforward gameplay focused on intense action and strategic combat against an otherworldly threat.
