Alien Sector

Namco’s Alien Sector, released in 1985, is a two-player horizontal scrolling shooter that challenges players to navigate through an alien landscape and fend off waves of enemies. Originally known as Baraduke in Japan, this arcade game puts you in control of spacecraft battling bizarre creatures and environmental hazards across multiple sectors. As players progress, the difficulty increases with more complex enemy patterns and challenging level designs. The gameplay involves maneuvering your ship to avoid projectiles and destroy incoming adversaries while working cooperatively or competitively with a second player. Alien Sector was exported from Japan and later included in several compilation packs for home consoles like the Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox 360, where it appeared under its original Japanese title. A more recent appearance occurred as part of “Pac-Man’s Pixel Bash” arcade release in 2018.
